Additionally, the St. Ed's building is home to two Alcoholic Anonomous Groups meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Early Onset Alzheimer's group meets once a month in the parish hall, affectionately known as the Christ the King Room.
More important that the building, is the community that celebrates, worships, learns and grows within it walls. A nursery, four classrooms, and a library are to be found in the lower leverl. Meetings are held in the Christ the King room, the sancturary, and the conference room. Perhaps, like any family home, the kitchen is where people congregate, prepare food for one another, and enjoy a commersial dish washer for cleaning up. Food and Fellowship go together. Two fund raisers for the youth are held here, OctoberFest and the Spring Spagetti Dinner, which is served by the youth. A midnight reception is held after both the Christmas Eve Midnight Mass, and the Easter Vigil. Potlucks on the Sunday before major holidays are time of community celebration.

St. Edward
    Campus
Built in the 1950's, and located in central Joliet, the St. Ed's Campus building was renovated inside and out in 2006 and 2007. Through the efforts of many parishioners and skilled laborers, the building is ready to house the ministries of the parish. It is the primary location of most of the Christian Formation classes, though day and overnight retreats are common at Christ Campus.
