I
     have
  given them
 the glory
   that you
     gave me,
      that they
    may be one
   as we are
     one.

               John 17:21-23
The parish is served by The Rev. Dr. Kathryn L. White, rector, and The Rev. Richard Lundgren, associate rector, and The Rev. Dee Goodale-Mikosz, Deacon.  Mr. Jack Tegel and Mr. Dean Buchman serve as the two wardens, positions similar to executive vice presidents of the board. The board of directors, called the Vestry in an Episcopal congregation, is comprised of eight men and women elected to serve three years terms during the annual meeting held each January.  In addition to voting members, the treasurer and a chancellor, an attorney who provides legal advice, have seat and voice at vestry meetings.

All vestry meetings are open, and any interested person is invited to attend. Vestry generally meets on the first Monday of the month. The vestry is divided into subcommittees, each with oversight of a particular aspect of the parish: Finance, Buildings and Grounds, and CommunityNow with oversight of all of the parish fellowship, worship, and education events.

St. Edward and Christ Episcopal Church (SECEC) is a two campus parish, one in central Joliet called St. Edward Campus, and one in Kendall County called Christ Campus. Both campuses are served by one staff and clergy team, and are governed by one governing body known as the vestry.
St. Edward and Christ Episcopal Church was formed in 2004 by the merger of St. Edward the Martyr and Christ Church, both of Joliet. At the time of the merger, the congregation sold the historic downtown Christ Church building, and occupied the St. Edward the Martyr property. The residual endowment monies and the proceeds from the sale of Christ Church were invested for the purchase of property to expand the ministry of the parish into the western Will and Kendall counties. In January of 2008 a 12 acre farm site was purchased in Kendall county along the western most border of Joliet. The property, now known as Christ Campus, has been converted into a retreat site and hosts an emerging congregation.
